Hi, My name is Kadee and I am the Head of Work Program for Style Acre. I have worked for Style acre for a little over 11 years starting as a support worker at Turnstyle and working in some of our supported living houses.
My role involves working closely with our job coach, employment support workers and external companies to arrange and support our individuals into work placements that suit their interests and enrich their lives. Our vision is to have as many of the individuals we support in either voluntary work placements or paid work as possible, playing active roles in their communities and becoming valued members of a team. We are committed to ensuring that employers are aware of the valuable contributions that people with a learning disability bring to a workplace.
It is incredible to see the people we support gain a sense of self-worth and social inclusion whilst learning new skills and improving their mental health and wellbeing. I am so grateful to be able to play a part in that and to do a job that makes such a positive difference to someone’s life.
