Supported living care in our safe, happy households

Style Acre provides 24-hour supported living in community homes across Oxfordshire. People live with their peers and can access a wide range of support, this includes support with personal care, eating and drinking, shopping, doing household tasks, attending appointments, going out with friends, leisure activities, volunteering and working.

We work closely with our sister charity Acre Housing who provide specialised housing for some of the people supported by Style Acre. Our support teams work closely with people we support and their families to ensure people are empowered to plan their lives and make their own decisions. Our person-centred care plans detail how people want to be supported. Housemates make their own plans with their support teams and can also choose to attend Style Acre’s community hubs, our wellbeing programme or to work or access support from our Garden Project or Work Programme.

If you or someone you know is interested in support from Style Acre please read our How do I get the support I need page.

Speech and Language Therapist

People we support are able to work with our Speech and Language Therapist, who helps people with their communication needs. Additionally, our Technology for Independence support offers IT solutions to help people improve their independence at home and with everyday tasks and communication.

Rated Outstanding

Our supported living care is rated outstanding by the Quality Care Commission (CQC) following our most recent inspection. Less than 2% of adult social care services nationally have achieved this rating and this recognises the hard work and dedication of our employees.

The report says:

“Everyone spoke of the openness of the service and without exception, people felt valued and listened to.”

To ensure we continually review our procedures and practices people we support are employed as Quality Checkers. They visit our supported living houses to talk to housemates about their lives, their support, and their homes. The information is then shared as a feedback report for everyone involved.
