Work, Volunteer and Training Opportunities

Our Work programme supports 107 people in paid work and volunteer opportunities in our Tea Room, Charity Shop and Green Acre Garden Maintenance team and in our offices and hubs.

The programme also helps find work with local companies.

Getting a job or a volunteer placement will help with your mental health and wellbeing, daily routines and help you feel more independent.

People we support in a work or volunteer placement have told us that their work placement helped them feel:

  • More confident
  • Valued and fulfilled in their role
  • Happier
  • More independent

They also say it helped them to make new friends, improve their communication and helped them to learn new skills.

If you or someone you support are interested in any of the paid work and volunteer opportunities below or you would like try and get a work placement in an area that you enjoy, speak to our Work Programme team or contact us.

Volunteer Opportunities

Paid Work Opportunities

Style Acre have employed people we support for various roles including cleaners, quality checkers, admin assistants to café duties and gardening. We are also able to support in getting paid jobs with external organisations.

We are sorry there are currently no paid work opportunities available.

Training Opportunities

Would you like to train to lead fitness classes like Zumba, aerobics or circuit training?

There is a free course in April/May for people with disabilities to gain a qualification in group exercise. You would need to spend four half days at Stoke Mandeville stadium, learning how to lead classes, and one day for a practical assessment.

If you would like to find out more please contact Anita Powell.
