Style Acre Oxfordshire Care Award winners
Style Acre had a wonderful day at the Oxfordshire Care awards on Monday 17th June. The awards recognise the people making a difference to the lives of others from the community and voluntary sector, statutory and independent care providers, as well as unpaid carers.
The awards are an annual event organised by Oxfordshire Association of Care Providers (OACP) with support from Action for Carers Oxfordshire, Age UK Oxfordshire and Oxfordshire County Council.
This year was an exceptional year for the Style Acre team who won several awards along with their close partners Maymessy who won the ‘Inspirational Award’. An award for organisations (not a health or care agency) that inspires others with its high standards of care and compassion and goes out of its way to assist individuals who need extra support in their daily lives.
Maymessy is a cookery school empowering disadvantaged groups and charities in Oxfordshire to gain greater wellbeing, and where delicious food and good company come as standard. People supported by Style Acre have been attending cookery sessions and recently Maymessy and Style Acre worked together to create an accessible cookery book.
The Style Acre Award winners were:
Gemma Elliott, Frontline Leader Award – Recognises someone who has shown clear commitment to improving the delivery of care and support within their team. person who has shown leadership by reflecting on what could be done better to support and brings about change, which highlights best practice.

All the Style Acre winners were put forward for the Oxfordshire awards because they were winners of the Style Acre Awards held at the end of last year. All the winners were nominated by colleagues, people we support, and their families and they all made us incredibly proud.
