Style Acre Superheroes complete the Superhero Triathlon

On Saturday, our Style Acre Superheroes took part in the Superhero Tri at Dorney lake near Windsor. Everyone pulled out the stops to swim, cycle and run their hearts out.

They each had a sidekick doing along with them, motivating and helping them throughout. Many of our Sidekicks were volunteers from Wallingford Tri Club, Run Wallingford, and local businesses including Element 6, whose Ambassadors for Good programme helped fund our involvement in this event.

It was a fantastic day full of achievements, smiles, giant medals and ice creams to celebrate!

Grace started the day strong by completing the half tri distance (400m swim, 10km cycle, 2.5km run), still looking fresh as a daisy at the finish line! The rest of our triathletes did the sprint distance (15m swim, 3km cycle, 1km run) in the afternoon, and totally smashed it.

Clare Balding was filming for a documentary which will be aired in late September on C4, keep an eye out for it and see if any of our Superheroes made the cut.

Our Superhero’s and Sidekicks will be getting together again later in September to celebrate their achievements and plan their next challenges!
