Vertex volunteers return for their annual volunteer day

We welcomed a group of 10 volunteers from Vertex Pharmaceuticals at the Wantage Market Garden on Friday 20th September.

Every year Vertex come and volunteer at the end of September and help us get the Garden Project ready for winter. We love having the team back and seeing old and new faces.

There was an additional challenge this year, apart from the list of jobs, we had an amber weather warning for the afternoon!

With everyone turning up a little early the team started on the list of jobs. From hedge trimming, bagging up compost, turning the compost heaps, painting and re-potting, and these were just a few of the jobs on the list.

A big thank you to Vertex for coming back and volunteering with us, looking forward to you returning in 2025.
