Ever since the early days of my career as a social worker and then a commissioner in Oxfordshire I have been inspired by Style Acre’s journey from the “big house” in Brightwell to the outstanding community based service it is today.

Style Acre translates strong values and creativity into good quality, consistent day to day support and makes a real difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities.

My own career in social care has led me to my current position as Head of Commissioning with Reading Borough Council.  Being a trustee gives me chance to share my expertise but also to learn and grow as part of the Style Acre family. I’m proud to be part of this organisation and to play a role in enabling people to get the most out of their lives.  I’m particularly proud of our programmes which help people get into work and ‘Ways into Wellness’ which gives everyone the chance to attain the benefits of an active life which can keep us all healthy and well.
