As Wellbeing Manager at Style Acre, I look after health and happiness at Style Acre, mainly through our Ways to Wellness programme. My role involves community engagement, partnerships and projects, activities, information, training…and lots of fun!
I work with everyone in our Style Acre community to enhance health and happiness, embedding our Ways to Wellness values of #grow, #move, #nourish and #connect into daily life. I love bringing people together to share ideas, create excitement and engage people in trying new things. I’m a Mental Health First Aid Instructor Member and deliver regular Mental Health Aware and First Aid courses, which I love – giving people more understanding and tools to look after their own mental health and that of others.
I joined Style Acre in 2017 as Community Fundraiser & Volunteer Coordinator (with 15+ years working in various roles in the voluntary sector), disappeared for a year in 2019 to introduce my daughter to the world, and have been back with a focus on wellbeing ever since. Style Acre has always had a big focus on health and happiness, which I loved from the moment I joined – small moments of joy are celebrated, and big goals and dreams are strived for. I’m delighted to be able to help continue, develop and embed this even more.
