Colleagues from QBE’s Bristol office have raised almost £8,500 after completing the Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge in memory of their colleague, Seb Hawkey.
On Saturday, 13 June, 22 QBE colleagues joined Seb’s family to walk 25km through the Cotswolds on the anniversary of his passing.
The fundraising challenge brought colleagues, friends and family together to celebrate Seb’s life while raising money for Style Acre, a charity close to his heart.
Steve Field, Head of Trading at QBE, said:
“It was great to see our QBE Bristol team come together to take on the Cotswold Way in Seb’s memory. It afforded us a special opportunity to reflect on some of our favourite memories from our time with him. His positivity, kindness and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on everyone at QBE, and our collective fundraising efforts are a testament to how much he meant to us all. Our fundraising page is still open and any donations, including seed funding, are much appreciated.”
A big thank you to all those that took part in the challenge and to the generosity of donors and supporters, the fundraising total has created a lasting tribute to Seb’s memory.
