This Spring we are delighted to have been able to refurbish the kitchen and hallways at Turnstyle thanks to Element Six and funding from the Ambassador for Good Programme, the Emery and Owen Charity who helped with the purchase of a new oven, Howdens Didcot who donated towards the cost of the kitchen, Louis from LN Building & Carpentry Ltd and Dulux Decorator Centre Abingdon and Botley who provided all the paint and tools.
A team from Element Six volunteered over two days to help paint the kitchen and hallway at the hub, Howdens donated the kitchen units and Louis from LN Building and Carpentry and his team volunteered over three days to fit the kitchen.
The kitchen looks much smarter and is ready to host many more tea breaks, lunches and cooking sessions. We’ve also been able to buy some new tables and chairs thanks to a grant from South Oxfordshire District Council through the local Councillor Community Grant Scheme and the Wallingford Bridge Estate Charity, so our meeting rooms are also looking good thanks to this new furniture.
We’re very grateful to everyone who has contributed to giving Turnstyle this spring refresh, it all looks great and makes a huge difference to this important, vibrant space where people we support get together to pursue their interests and access support they need.
