On Sunday 12 October, our very first team of 51 runners proudly took on the Oxford Half Marathon, raising funds and awareness for Style Acre.

The streets of Oxford were filled with thousands of runners but our team stood out in their bright orange vests. Supporters cheered them on from our mile 11 cheering station, helping then stay motivated for the last couple of miles.

We had a stand within the Runners’ Village where we met our runners and their supporters, connected with other charities, and soaked up the fantastic atmosphere.

Together, our amazing runners have raised just over £33,000.

A special mention goes to a team of five runners who took part in loving memory of their son and nephew, Josh, whom we were privileged to support in one of our houses. Their incredible fundraising efforts raised an amazing £10,000. With this money, we’ll be purchasing a new fundraising/Green Acre van, which will be named “Josh” in his memory.

We are so proud of every single one of our runners and so grateful to everyone who donated and supported us on the day.
