Volunteer Day At Challow Barn

A successful volunteer day at the barn!

As well as working from home and home schooling our children during Covid, the nation spent time in their homes clearing and sorting out all sorts of unwanted things. For the charity shop it meant we received huge quantity of donations, which all needed to be sorted, so we called upon our volunteers to help.

Last Wednesday in the barn a team of volunteers came together to help, and what a difference they made. We spent the day sorting clothes into winter and summer stock, organising seasonal bric-a-brac and sporting goods, creating boxes of items to sell on ebay or to go to auction and generally getting to a place where we can easily stock rotate in our charity shop, which will help us fully benefit from our supporters’ contributions.

A huge thank you to John D, Margaret L, David M, Sarah and Hannah C, Ali K, Chloe H and Charlotte Jones for leading the session. It was a mammoth job, and your help has made such a big difference.
