Rough Runner and Thames Run

This weekend was a busy one for Style Acre – and especially for  ambassador Grace!

On Saturday, three people we support took on the challenge of the Rough Runner obstacle course in Chipping Norton. They were gallantly led by Hannah Wolstenholme, our Banbury day hub manager. They finished the course with smiles on their faces, and raised more than £300 for Style Acre! Well done team, we are proud of you!

Then on Sunday, we were at the Thames Run in Wallingford. People we support and other Style Acre volunteers were there handing medals to finishers, marshalling along the way and manning the car park where generous event-goers donated over £200.

Here is a photo of our ambassador Grace and her partner Matt who really enjoyed marshalling along the route. Amazingly, Grace still looks full of energy despite having just run 10km and having done the Rough Runner the day before!

The Thames Run Committee did a great job organising the event and we are extremely grateful for their continued support over the past few years. It is a fantastic opportunity for the people we support to get involved in a local community event as well as to raise money and awareness for Style Acre!
