Linda and Emma’s friendship blossoms in lockdown

Linda sends Support Worker Emma thank you card and friendship bracelet

“It’s made me feel emotional and happy at the same time because it’s such a nice feeling knowing that the support and care you give, truly is appreciated. We all work so hard to make sure that the men/women we support can live their best lives to the fullest and how they wish. It’s moments like this, that make you stop and think this is exactly why I come to work.”

Our Support Worker Emma was touched to receive a lovely thank you card and friendship bracelet from Linda, who lives in one of our supported living households. Linda has particularly enjoyed building her friendship with Emma through lockdown while Emma has been supporting her. Emma normally works at our community day hub Turnstyle, in Wallingford.

As restrictions ease Emma is doing more 1-2-1 work in the local community with people who normally attend our day hubs and live outside of our supported living.  Emma will still be in touch with Linda and they are both looking forward to being reunited at Turnstyle in the future.
