Element Six help host a connect and create event as part of the Ambassador for Good programme

We are delighted to be working with Element Six for the 6th year running as part of the Anglo American Group Foundation and De Beers Group ‘Ambassadors for Good’ (AfG) programme.

Element Six (E6), part of the De Beers Group, was successful in its application to the ‘Ambassadors for Good’ programme, securing £5,000 funding to improve wellbeing through gardening and creative activities.  These activities will enable people to connect with their peers, learn new skills, be creative and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of gardening.

As part of the project The team at Element Six, a world-leading provider of synthetic diamonds and tungsten carbide solutions, based on the Harwell Science Campus, helped to plan and implement a connect and create day at Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust – BBOWT in Sutton Courtenay.

The event was held last week and the team helped to deliver a fun-filled day. It was a fantastic day and seeing so many people enjoying the event was brilliant. The sessions included meditation, drumming and circus skills. Other activities included making bird feeders, creating with clay, a sensory table, stone painting a nature trail and bird watching in the bird hide.

We had some lovely feedback, including this from one of the support team “Fantastic Day At Sutton Courtney Nature Reserve today. It was totally immersive and inclusive fun! Drumming, meditation, circus skills, Craft activities and the great outdoors! Hooray for all those involved in running and organising this day.
