David and Round the World Bear take on the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race challenge whilst raising money for Style Acre
Meet Round the World Bear, our latest fundraiser taking part in the Clipper Round the World race and raising money for Style Acre.
Round the World Bear is about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime by joining David Marsan and the Washington DC crew in the amazing Clipper Round the World 2023/24 Yacht Race which starts on Sunday from Gunwharf Marina, Portsmouth.
David and Round the World bear will be taking on the challenge whilst raising money and awareness for Style Acre. The teams are ready and the race starts on Sunday 3rd December from Gunwharf Marina, Portsmouth. Round the World bear will be taking on the whole challenge and will join the crew from the start. David will be taking on leg 6: The mighty Pacific leg which will be 8,000 miles and will mean being at sea for 37 days. He will be sailing from China to the USA.
David said ‘When I saw the Clipper fleet return in summer 2022 to Albert Docks London, I was captivated. I spoke to past Crew Team members and immediately discovered this was the next adventure I didn’t realise I was looking for. Facing seas bigger than the boat, whilst trying to win a race, just ticked all the challenge plus experience boxes for me.’
