Charity of the Year at Sainsbury’s!

We are absolutely thrilled to be  Charity of the Year at Sainsbury’s in Didcot.

We are incredibly grateful to the public and staff, who voted for Style Acre to be the chosen charity.

We launched this partnership with a bag-pack, with people we support helping customers from our Didcot and Wallingford hubs. This was a fantastic start and raised £232.25.  Well done to our hardworking teams – our Didcot hub team members are pictured with the store’s Charity Coordinator Sue Duncan (right), and Operations Manager Scott Dykes (left).  Store Manager Richard Hopkins said: “We’re really excited to be working with Style Acre, supporting such a fantastic cause. Everyone at Didcot is really looking forward to  working together for a successful partnership.”

We are planning some exciting activities with Sainsbury’s over the year – as well as more bag-packing, our guys will be at the store for a day in December, where they will be showcasing their talents – more to follow!

We have a long relationship with the store, who has supported us in many ways over the years. Many people we support shop at the store, where staff are really helpful.  The store has also provided important work experience for people we support.  We have had bag-packing opportunities in the past and the store has provided us with raffle items to support our fundraising.

The local Charity of the Year scheme is now in its 10th year.
