Wallingford Thames Run – Sunday 21st May, 2017

A record number of runners turned out for the Thames Run this year.

On a normal quiet Sunday in May hundreds of runners descended on the village of Crowmarsh Gifford for the annual Thames Run event!

The 10k and 5k run, which followed the beautiful banks of the River Thames, raised vital funds for Style Acre, their chosen charity, as well as the local primary school. Over 500 runners took part including our very own Ambassador Grace, who ran the 10K, and staff member Dave, who ran the 5K. The final totally has not been confirmed yet but as soon as we know we shall update this page!

We would like to say a big thank you to the Thames Run Committee for having us as their chosen charity for a forth time. As the event is so local to our base and Turnstyle service it is very special to us so we were delighted to be asked back again.

Also thank you to everyone who came to help on the day: our medals teams, the girls from Radnor, residents from Littleworth, Anup and Dan; the car park team, Chris Orme, Kate Jutson, Chris Ingram, Rob Edmund-Seal and Pat Gunning and last but not least the marshal team, Sally Bright, Grace Tye, June Norris, Daz, John Dilley, Fiona lisboa, Marilyn Reed, Sarah Donne and Vince and Evelyn Kerrigan. The event could not happy without your support so thank you very much for your help on the day.

We would also like to say a special thank you and well done to Harry Tye, son of volunteer Grace, who ran the 10K for us and raised an amazing £1,000 for Style Acre. We would like to congratulate him on his fantastic achievement and for raising such a incredible amount.
