Head of Work Programme

Hi, my name is Hannah. My role at Style Acre is Head of Work Programme. I have worked at Style Acre for the last 18 years, starting off as a Support Worker in the original Style Acre house and then moving to one of the Services in 2004 when this Style Acre house closed. I then became a Support Manager for Style Acre and have worked in a number of our supported living houses, building good relationships with many of the people we support over the years.

My role involves working closely with our Job Coach to arrange work placements. We offer a wide variety of work placements for people to try, with a view of getting paid employment at the end of it. We offer placements at our charity shop, tea rooms and book shop for people to gain new skills and experience before moving on to other work experience opportunities.

Work opportunities benefit people’s lives in so many ways; people learn new skills, feel valued and enjoy being part of a team. It can also dramatically increase people’s confidence.
