After moving from Devon in May 2019, I started my role at Style Acre overseeing the Fundraising, Marketing & Volunteering Department. I have enjoyed every single minute since taking up my role with Style Acre; it’s a fantastic charity to work for, really doing so much good in supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to live their fullest lives and help them to achieve their potential.

My role is busy, fun and very varied! My team does everything from recruiting new volunteers to running community events to building relationships with potential funders and submitting funding applications to Trusts or grant-giving bodies. I’m so proud to be part of such a positive and enthusiastic team, and one that is a wonderful face to Style Acre among the local communities where we work.

The best thing about my role is seeing the impact that our department has on the people we support – from helping people to become more involved with their local community, to the sheer joy of taking part in an event that we’ve organised, or by generating income so that a project like our work programme can continue to help people with learning disabilities gain vital skills.

Prior to joining Style Acre, I worked with the Wildlife Trusts, overseeing face-to-face fundraising events and venues in the south west, and have worked in events, marketing and community engagement for over 10 years. Style Acre is a new challenge and one that I am loving!
