I joined Style Acre in April 2021, over a year into a pandemic and a year that changed so much for so many. I was instantly struck by the positivity and family feeling of everyone I was meeting across our operational teams. I am passionate about people taking control of their lives and their choices. I believe we all need support to do this at different points in our lives and for different reasons and that this can always be done by putting the individual first and working with patience and kindness. This is why I wanted to work for Style Acre – because these values are shared throughout the charity.

I have worked in health and social care since I was at university and have always loved getting to know and understand people. Working closely and knowing the people we support and their families well is something that’s really important to me and is another reason I feel privileged to join a charity that values this as strongly as Style Acre does.

Before joining Style Acre my career started as a Support Worker for Mencap followed by a number of operational Management Roles. I have worked for Dimensions UK for the past 7 years most recently as a Regional Managing Director in Discovery.
