National Epilepsy Week
James lives in one of Style Acre’s supported living households and has had epilepsy his whole life. For National Epilepsy Week, we asked James if he would share what it’s like for him to have epilepsy.
“I have had epilepsy since birth. It doesn’t really exist to me because I have a good attitude and I want to get on with my life. Staff watch me to take meds morning and evening to make sure I am doing it right. I am generally a happy person because I enjoy living with my housemates, seeing my Dad. I have also got lots to look forward to such as going on holiday and getting a new job.”
We think James’ positivity is fantastic. It’s brilliant that he can manage his epilepsy with his medication. We look forward to seeing what he does next and hearing about his new job! Thank you for sharing James.
