3rd-19th May Dorchester-on-Thames Festival (Style Acre is charity of the year!)

Style Acre has been chosen as the official charity partner of the Dorchester-on-Thames Festival 2019.

The biennial event is one of Oxfordshire’s leading festivals and will be held at Dorchester Abbey from Friday 3^rd May until 12^th May.  More than 3,000 people are expected to enjoy over 50 events including The Tallis Scholars, John Rutter, The BBC Elstree Concert Band, a fantastic comedy night line up and unbeatable family and children’s entertainment

We are looking for brave bods to abseil fro the top of Dorchester Abbey! Please contact community@styleacre.org.uk if you are up for the challenge!

As the official partner, Style Acre will share the Festival proceeds with Dorchester Abbey.  Style Acre supports over 250 people with learning disabilities across Oxfordshire, through supported living teams, day hubs and a work programme.

Style Acre Chief Executive, Chris Ingram says: “We are extremely grateful to be chosen as the charity partner for the Dorchester-on-Thames Festival 2019. The community at Dorchester has always shown kindness and generosity to Style Acre through volunteering, letting us run the Dorchester Abbey tearoom on occasion and we have received a generous donation from the Abbey Committee towards our work. This is our opportunity to give something back to Dorchester and help make the festival the best it can be!  People we support love volunteering and getting involved in events and this will certainly be popular with our guys!
