Easter Appeal Success!
Thank you so much for helping to raise £4000 from our Easter Covid-19 Appeal! We have been blown away by everyone’s kindness. The money raised will help us support everyone at this current time. It’s vitally important to help supplement our lost income from cancelled events and community fundraising. One of the things this money will help with is the cost of running our temporary T22U meals-on-wheels service. T2 have been busy preparing and delivering meals to our supported living houses to help keep everyone safe and healthy.We also made a thank you video with people we support! Donate to our Easter Covid-19 Appeal
As a charity that exists to protect and support people with learning disabilities and autism, we are putting plans into place to reach out to people in their homes and communities, as well as safeguarding those in our supported living households. We are doing everything we can to help mitigate the impact of the coronavirus on the health and well-being of people we support.
This includes setting up a temporary ‘meals on wheels’ service, which will operate from our Didcot Community Hub (T2). Our catering team will prepare fresh home-made meals and deliver them to our supported living households.
Many people we support have underlying health conditions and this service will help protect them from a high risk of infection by reducing the need for shopping trips. We want to ensure everyone has a good, balanced diet, especially those who are most vulnerable. We also want to take the pressure off our supported living teams, so that they can focus on caring for people, implementing new hygiene measures and helping people we support adapt to new home-based routines.
Inevitably, this new service will place a considerable strain on our resources, at a time when we are unable to run our community and events fundraising. This is why we are turning to you, to ask for your help today.

£5 is the cost of just one Easter egg, so instead of an Easter egg for you, you can donate three home-cooked meals to somebody we support. A larger donation will help cover additional costs, such as deliveries, equipment and essential staffing.
Today, perhaps more than most, we are hoping we can count on you. Our charity was founded to support and care for people with learning disabilities and autism, and we’re determined that we will continue to be there for them over the weeks and months to come, when they may need us more than ever before.
