A summer of support!

We are grateful all those who have chosen to support us over the last few months.

The  Dalby Double Act!

Thank you to our youngest fundraiser, Sophia Dalby. She was inspired but her dad, David, who started running a couple of years ago and is running for us in the Oxford Half. Please sponsor him here.

Our amazing skydivers overcame fears to raise over £4,000 towards our work at the summer Style Acre Skydive event.

We received generous donations in memory of Fumiyo Boulton, who sadly passed away in July after a short illness. Fumiyo  was a keen volunteer in the Tea Room, wanting to give back to Style Acre, which she felt was doing so much for her son Ray, who we support. Fumiyo and her husband Ian, who is a Style Acre trustee wanted the donations to directly benefit Support Workers. £6,730 was raised in Fumiyo’s memory, which will fund a new training room.

Moulsford Prep School pupils, staff and parents supported Style Acre over the school year with lost of activities, raising over £4,000.  It provided also an opportunity for our ambassadors to talk about their experiences with the pupils.  Grace Lancaster, Charites Coordinator of Moulsford says: ‘It has been an incredibly rewarding experience for both pupils and staff at Moulsford alike, to support Style Acre over the last year and I am sure that it has made a lasting impression on the Moulsford Community as a whole.’

St Mary-Le-More & Wallingford PCC have supported us for 5 years. Their generous gift of £1,250 helped fund Rebound Therapy sessions, which provide sensory experiences, especially beneficial for those with complex needs. Watch Paul with support worker Calum.

Mark Stoddart cycled from London to Paris raising £440 for Style Acre.  He says: ‘I have first-hand experience of difference Style Acre can make.My friends have a 23 year old daughter, Lucy, with pronounced learning disabilities – she cannot speak and needs 1:1 support at all times.  Mum Susan has been so pleased with the care Lucy receives by her dedicated supported living team, enabling Lucy to live in a house with peers and enjoy a stimulating and busy life.’  Thank you also to Susan for organising a morning coffee and cake gathering at work and for the Ashmolean staff for supporting us – raising £188.

Didcot Community Choir chose Style Acre as one of their charities to benefit from proceeds of their excellent new CD. Thank you.
